How to Shop for Work Clothes
I wanted to share a work outfit on the blog and give you some tips on how to shop for your wardrobe. I also plan on sharing more outfits for work since it’s what I mostly wear during the week.
TIP #1:
Purchase solid color bottoms, whether that be slacks, skirts, or cropped pants like the ones I mostly wear in the summer (check out my Instagram) for recent looks! By purchasing a solid color, it makes it easier to match any type of blouse. Of course, I also have random print pants for work as well (can’t help! Love polka dot pants).TIP #2:
Have at least 1-2 blazers in your wardrobe. Whether that be a solid black one or a grey one (or even a colored one). Blazers always put together outfits for work (more professional). I love blazers but those do get pretty pricey. Sometimes it is best to invest in a good one OR be on the lookout for sales. I purchased mine when I used to work at Ann Taylor Factory (only $20, originally $150). If you have your favorite stores, check up on them and see when items like blazers are marked down. If you can’t seem to find a blazer, no problem, use a cardigan! They are very similar and a lot cheaper. With cardigans, I suggest having pop of colors that complete you outfit. Simply, wear a white, black, or grey top and a pop of color with your cardigan… and woahla! You have yourself an outfit.TIP #3:
Last tip is stock up more on shirts! The more shirts you have the more outfits you can create. Don’t purchase a lot of shirts that don’t go with the bottoms you have. Make sure you keep in mind what items you already have in your closet when you are looking to shop for blouses. With shirts you could always change up your outfit by simply wearing a blazer or cardigan, a different necklace, and a different bottom. No one will realize you wore the same white blouse as the week before :).Here are some links to some of the places to shop at for work clothes. I also suggest the outlets stores for Express, Banana Republic, and Ann Taylor.

Fourth of July Look
Shirt | old (Kohl’s, Similar) ; shorts (Bought them in China) ; Jeans (TJMaxx) ; heels (CR, Similar, ) ; Shoes (Vans)Hello!
Super late on this look (I know). Sadly I had saved a draft of this post and accidentally deleted it! ☹️ All my pictures were on my laptop and I was away this weekend. But never too late, there’s always next year’s Fourth of July! I hope everyone had a wonderful and safe holiday. I love spending time with my family and if I could be with them everyday I would! 😊 I figured two looks (one glam & one casual) would be the best idea in case you don’t want to be so glam or do.

Mint Green Shorts

sandals | Old NavyThis weather is calling for t-shirts and shorts. It is getting pretty warm here in Reno! I’m not much of a “lay in the sun” type of person. I get hot, sweaty, and tan fairly quickly (in minutes). However, what makes outfits like this a little more put together, is the type of shoe. This outfit would look great with some brown wedges or a simple sandal like the ones I am wearing. Speaking of sandals, while I was trying to find the ones I have on I found a super expensive but IDENTICAL pair (different color) for around $450, link here. Mine were about $17 since they were on sale when I purchased them. The ones I linked are a different color, but from the same store I purchased them at. I really hope you don’t buy a pair of $450 sandals!…. that is just a bit ridiculous hahaha.
Hope you enjoy!

heels | old, similar here, not in stock yetHappy Wednesday and happy first day of June!
I apologize for the lack of posts! But I finally decided to get ready and wear this casual outfit for a busy Saturday. I personally enjoy wearing strappy heels, and they are probably one of my favorite type of heels. I always struggle finding shirts to wear, but Old Navy always has the best casual shirts to wear! If you haven’t ever shopped there, I would take a look. They have affordable cute tops, as well as some of the most comfy jeans.

Spring Look
Here is my look of the day! My shirt and pants are both from Old Navy. My shoes are old, but similar ones Here. My watch is linked on my previous post, as well, from Macy’s. I believe my belt is actually from Wal-Mart 🙈😂. My necklace is old, but very similar ones can be found at Charlotte Russe, Forever 21, or Claire’s.
Have a great day ❤️
